What is JobBeam?
Jobbeam is an employment website which allows employers and jobseekers to post videos of themselves. The site facilitates the matching of employers and jobseekers via video content, proximity searching, and electronic (email and/or sms) notifications.

Registration Questions

How do I register?
If you are a jobseeker, go to the "jobseeker registration" page. If you are an employer, go to the "employer registration" page. You will need to enter your contact information and choose a username and password.
Does it cost anything to register?
Registration for both jobseekers and employers is free. If you are an employer, you will need to buy credits for certain features, such as sending out sms notifications.
I lost my username and/or password, how can I find my account information?
Go to our Forget Password page, and fill out the form to submit a request for your username/password. Make sure the e-mail address you supply is the same as the one you signed up with initially.
Can I change my user name and password?
You may change your password but not your username. To change your password log in to your account and click “Edit Password”. Create a new password and enter it into the system, enter it once more for confirmation and click “Apply Changes” to save your new password.

How do I watch videos?
In order to watch videos, make sure your browser is up to date with the latest flash player.
How do I apply to jobs?
To apply to jobs, go to the job search page. You can search for a job by keyword, job date, location and category. click on the search button to obtain results. From the results, click on the job title to view the details of the job. From here, you can apply to the job online.
What is "Job Alert"?
Job Alert is a customized search function which you can set up once you login. Once setup, you can receive email and/or sms notifications for jobs that match your search criteria. You can add as many Job Alerts as you like.
How do I upload a video resume?
To upload a video resume, you will first need to login. If you don't have an account yet, you can register for one here. Once logged in, click on "Video Resume" on the left menu to add a video resume.
How do I post a resume?
To post a resume, you will first need to login. If you don't have an account yet, you can register for one here. Once logged in, click on "Resume" on the left menu to add a resume. You will have the option to create an electronic resume on our site, or to upload a resume in Microsoft Word format.
How do I link a video to a resume?
To link a specific video to a particular resume, click on the "Video Resume" section on the lefthand menu. Click on the edit button, and from here you can assign the video to a specific resume.
What is "Job List"?
The Job List is a list of jobs that you have bookmarked, so that you may review them at a later time. You may apply directly to jobs from your Job List.
How does my video get featured on the front?
A video gets featured on the front based on the number of views that it receives.
What video formats can I upload
Jobbeam accepts .mov, .mpg, .avi, .wmv, .asf, and .flv formats.
How long does my video stay up on Jobbeam?
Your video stays up on Jobbeam until you decide to take it down.
How Do I Search Jobs by Category?
1. To search jobs by category, click the category you would like to search in the left side menu
2. Select the subcategory you would like to search
3. Click the "details" link to see a full job description.
How Do I Search Jobs by Keyword?
1. Enter the Keyword you would like to search
2. Enter your postal code
3. Click "Search".
How Do I do an Advanced Search?
1. Click the "Job Search" tab on the top right of the page;
2. Check off the "Advanced Search" box;
3. Enter the information you would like to search;
4. Click "Job Search"
How Do I Change my Password?
1. Click "Change Password" in the left side menu;
2. Create new password;
3. Re-enter new password;
4. Click "Update Profile".

Does Jobbeam share the information that it collects?
Jobbeam deems information gathered from the website (including logged IP addresses) to be strictly confidential. All personal information is considered restricted only to Jobbeam. The Information gathered from this website will not be forwarded to any other parties without your prior written approval.
What kind of video content can I upload?
You may only upload material relevant to a) finding employment or b) finding employees. Any material deemed inappropriate, explicit, protected by copyright, or irrelevent to the site will be removed from our servers.
