All information collected by JOBBEAM is stored on our own servers at JOBBEAM’s head office in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
JOBBEAM is a forum for employers to post job opportunities and for job seekers to post their resumes. Both employers and job seekers provide contact information, including name, address, telephone numbers, and email addresses. Job seekers may also provide additional personal information on their resumes, such as educational background and previous work experience. It is solely up to you to decide what information you wish to include. You should be aware that all resumes posted are accessible in their entirety to employers who have subscribed to JOBBEAM’s service. Therefore, you should ensure that the information you include on your resume is material which you would be comfortable sharing with any potential employer. JOBBEAM does not investigate employer subscribers. JOBBEAM is not responsible for the use made by third parties of information you post on your resume.
JOBBEAM may collect information from your posting for the purpose of improving our services to you, or for identifying new services that could serve to enhance your success in using this Site. JOBEAM may also collect information about your usage of this Site, such as number of visits, average time spent, page views, links accessed or other demographic or statistical information. This information is used by JOBBEAM to improve our efficiency, monitor site performance and to better serve you. JOBBEAM does not make this information available to any third parties.
JOBBEAM does not sell, trade, transfer, rent or otherwise make available to any third parties the information which is collected from your posting or from your usage of this Site, with the following exceptions:
1. JOBBEAM may disclose such information to third parties with your prior consent. That consent may be sought in writing, electronically or verbally, depending on the nature of the reason for asking for that consent.
2. JOBBEAM may disclose such information to our own employees or to individuals or companies we retain to perform services for us. Our employees and agents are bound by the same rules as JOBBEAM and they may not disclose your information to any other third party. Our employees receive regular privacy training.
3. JOBBEAM may disclose your personal information to governmental agencies or law enforcement agencies if requested and if legally required to do so for reasons of crime prevention, or public or personal safety. You also have the option to delete your posting in its entirety, or to amend it, at any time. However, subscribers who have already accessed your personal information may have already accessed your resume and retained it in their systems or databases. JOBBEAM has no control over the use that is made of that information once acquired and bears no liability whatsoever.
JOBBEAM does not knowingly collect personal information from persons under the age of sixteen. JOBBEAM is not responsible for any improper use made of this Site or the information contained on postings.
Any payments made to JOBBEAM by charge card are processed through a third party merchant services providor. Your credit card information is protected through the use of encryption such as the Secure Socket Layer protocol which makes it difficult for your credit card information to be intercepted or stolen while being transmitted. JOBBEAM recommends that you enter your charge card information or any other sensitive information only on sites specifically designed to accept such information and not through email because the contents of emails may not be as secure.
JOBBEAM may amend the Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in technology or to improve the protection we provide for your personal information, and notice of such changes is posted on the Site to inform you, if and when they occur. Continued use of the Site after such notice of change has been rendered constitutes acceptance of those changes.
